Evaluating Efficiency of Airport Performance using DEA Approach

The main aim of this research is to forecast airport performance using grey system model GM(1,1), and evaluate efficiency of airport performance using robust but flexible approach (DEA), and incorporating traditional indicators as well as new constraints. Particularly it shows and compares the efficiency evolution of the 5 busiest Asian airports (China’s Beijing Hong Kong Shanghai, Japan’s Tokyo and Dubai) until 2020, under several constraints, based on multidimensional tool: Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). We use Frontier Analyst Professional software to get the results of analysis. The results evidence how DEA approach seems to be a very promising method to evaluate efficiency of airport performance.
