30-year-development of Chinese hospital beds: achievement and challenge

In the recent 30 years,the amount of Chinese hospital has risen by 111%,and the amount of hospital beds has risen by 183%.Some experts expressed their concerned relating to over-developed beds.In our view,booming of Chinese hospital beds bring more benefits,especially on the aspect of meeting increasing demands.Meantime,it benefited hospitals,promoted the medicine science,did good to health industry and the health care system,even brought the economical booming for the developed cities.However,due to the self-planning development and lack of regulation by the government,some problems appeared,such as liabilities,over treatment,imbalance development between hospitals,impaired health system structure and coexistence of waste Vs shortage,which government and hospital administrators need to highlighted in public hospital reform.
