RESEARCH OF FISHING, FISH POPULATION AND SUSTAINABLE FISHING MANAGEMENT OF THE LAKE YENIÇA?A (BOLU)

Aquaculture industry in our country, despite many problems, fishery production rate increased by 16.7% compared to the previous year. However, inland water fishing with a ratio of 5.6% or less remained static. In this study, our country's inland waters within the last 50 years, dozens of species thought to be lost, in the context of sustainable fisheries management in Lake Yenica?a aimed to determine the fish species and population characteristics of the current situation . The Lake Yenica?a is an important aquatic ecosystem because of the following reasons; the misgration pathway of birds, the lake environment has important turba basin and fishing is performed in the lake. Yn this study, by looking at species of fish population size distributions, length-weight relationship, condition value and growth values caughted in Yenica?a Lake in 2004 and 2006, from the point of providing the continuity of populations in the lake within the context of fishery management things be done proposed as presented.
