Wideband 180 Degree Phase Shifter with Low Phase Error

2014
A wideband 180 degree phase shifter has been designed to operate in 3-5 GHz bandwidth. Transitions from microstrip -to coplanar waveguide (CPW) -to microstrip lines are used to realize the structure. This phase shifter has a good return loss in specified frequency range and also it has 180 degree phase shift with low value of 6 degrees phase error. Simulation and measurement results show acceptable performance of the proposed structure to use in related applications such as binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulators and feeding networks in phase array antennas.
