--- The objective of this research is the use of information and communication technologies, ICT, this is about teacher’s performance quality at Escuela Academico Profesional de Comunicacion Social at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, 2015. This is based on the correct use of information technology and communication, ICT, digital level is highly linked to teacher’s performance quality at the Escuela Academico Profesional de Comunicacion Social at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. The study's population is comprised of 20 teachers and 100 students between their first and fifth year of study of Comunicacion Social. The two surveys were performed in the second half of 2015. We worked with a total of 20 teachers, as a controllable and small sample. Regarding the student's population, in order to determine the size of the sample, the equation for calculating a sample was applied resulting in one hundred students. To ensure the reliability of the applied instrument, a pilot test with four teachers and twenty students was performed. Although not considered in the final sample, they shared same characteristics and conditions. The results indicate: the better teachers were able to master ITC, and those are the ones that teach better to students. Nonetheless there are still substantial differences in teaching strategies among teachers: methods, procedures, techniques and activities by indicating that some of them do not explore the online resources of ICT to encourage their own creation. In conclusion, the use of communication technologies and information, ICT, allows strengthening pedagogical skills and enables creative skills. It also contributes to development strategies and new teaching methods by the teacher. It improves the quality of communication, which is critical to the teaching learning process at Escuela Academico Profesional de Comunicacion Social at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, during the year 2015.
