The invention provides a method for distributing non-rectangular enhanced physical uplink channel (E-PUCH) resources in high speed uplink packet access (HSUPA). The method has the following beneficial effects: when the nodeB distributes the E-PUCH resources to user equipment (UE), the nodeB distributes the non-rectangular E-PUCH resources to the UE which supports non-rectangular E-PUCH resource distribution, divides the distributed non-rectangular E-PUCH resources into a plurality of rectangular resources and informs the UE of the time slots and node information of the plurality of rectangular resources via an enhanced absolute grant channel (E-AGCH); therefore the aims of distributing the non-rectangular E-PUCH resources to the UE and informing the UE of the distributed resources can be achieved, thus ensuring the UE to utilize the non-rectangular E-PUCH resources to transmit data and improving the uplink peak rate of the UE.
