Background Second and third hand smoke exposure is a major issue in pediatrics. Growing evidence supports smoking cessation interventions in pediatric hospitals. Little is known about the role of inpatient pediatric nurses (RN’s) and respiratory therapists (RT’s) in smoking cessation interventions for parents and caregivers of hospitalized children.
