Brazil welcomes concrete platforms

Following the discovery of oil off the Brazilian Coast, Petrobras ordered three concrete gravity platforms for deployment in water 15 m deep for drilling, producing, processing, and storing crude oil. Design features of the platforms are described. Construction, towing, and installation are also described. (DLC)
