QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF NIFEDIPINE AND RELATED IMPURITIES BY HPLC

Nifedipine,imputy A[dimethyl 4-(2-nitrosophenyl)-2,6-dimethyl-pyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate],B[dimethyl 4-(2-nitrophenyl)-2,6-dimethylpyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate],and C[dimethyl 4-(4-nitrophenyl)-2,6-dimethyl-pyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate] were determined by HPLC,using ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate as internal standard.The chromatographic conditions were:RP-18 stainless steelcolumn (25cm×4.0 mm id),methanol-water(6:4) as mobile phase,and 230 nmas a detection wave length.
