Connection of metabolism and effects of supplementation of branched chain amino acids (BCAA) with physical activities and appearance of central fatigue

1998
Certain results of researching the assumption that BCAA (leucine, isoleucine and valine) serve as source of energy for the muscles during physical exercise, and that it is therefore necessary to add them to athletes nutrition in the form of nutrition supplements are stated from the literature. Some researches of hypothesis on the role of serotonine in appearance of nervous system fatigue, as well as research of connection between this metabolical mechanism with BCAA are stated. It is concluded that further research of these appearances is necessary.
