Perinatales Outcome bei massivem feto-maternalen Transfusionssyndrom : Zwei Fallberichte

2006
Fetal-maternal transfusion syndrome (FMH) is a rare but potentially dangerous condition in the field of obstetric medicine. The triad of reduced fetal movements, sinusoidal CTG and hydrops fetalis are accepted as the classical symptoms. Here, we present two case reports of massive fetal-maternal bleeding with 9.8 and 6%, respectively, fetal erythrocytes in the maternal blood circulation. In the first case, bleeding occurred suddenly and unexpectedly in the course of an uncomplicated pregnancy. In the second case, the pregnancy was complicated by gestational insulin-dependent diabetes. The diagnosis of fetal anemia was suspected immediately prior to the operative delivery on the grounds of pathologic CTG and ultrasound findings. Pathology revealed that FMH was due to the occurrence of numerous small chorangiomas in the placenta. Both neonates were transferred to intensive care units because of their grave anemia.
