Process for coating blades with an amorphous diamond layer.

1995
THE INVENTION RELATES TO shavers IMPROVED AND BLADES shavers AND PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING BLADES shavers (16, 20, 44) OR CUTTING TOOLS SIMILAR cutting contours dUraBle AFILADOS, by coating CARBON HARD BLADES WITH DIAMOND amorphous, preferably using a plasma source cathode ARCO FILTERING. AMORPHOUS DIAMOND COATING A (60) having at least 40% binding SP3 CARBON, a hardness of at least 45 GPa and a modulus of at least 400 GPa is applied to a substrate CONTOUR GRINDING (50). The substrate may be GRINDING Mechanically, AND THERE IS NO intermediate layer between the substrate and the diamond coating AMORPHOUS. COATING GIVES strength and rigidity to a blade FINA THE REMAINS A TIME STRETCH HIGH RATE.
