Discrete Super-Twisting Sliding Mode Current Controller for Induction Motor Drives

2020
The sliding mode controller can effectively improve the robustness of induction motor (IM) current control performance, but it suffers from the drawback of severe chattering and steady-state error. To address these problems, this paper proposed a discrete super-twisting sliding mode current controller for induction motor drives. In order to improve the convergence speed of the stator current, the conventional ST-SMC is modified by a fast power-reaching-law. Then, the improved ST-SMC is discretized to realize digital control. The experiments confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.
