Silica-gel porous particles and method of manufacturing same

Silica-gel porous particles that have through-holes and uniform shapes, wherein the through-holes are not plugged up, are provided. Porous particles according to the present invention are substantially spherically shaped and characterized in that the porous particles have, in the interiors thereof, through-holes that are formed by silica gel in which porous structures thereof are in communication with each other, and that openings at ends of the through-holes are oriented towards the outside of the porous particles.
