New algorithm for automatic editing of noisy seismic data
1992
This paper describes aRew approach for cueputer-aided editing of seismic data, contsminated by various types of random noisa, such as high-amplitude spikes and noise bursts, etc. A new technique is developed which uses a different scheme for evaluating the data-dependent threshold value fras the trace itself, which is the basis for editing the sample values of the trace. The technique is less user-dependent and more q achiue-oriented.
