A creation and display algorithm applied to building a multi-resolution meshes

A novel algorithm based on iterative edge contraction surface simplification method was proposed to (generate) and display the multi-resolution building meshes. Benefiting from some characteristics of the building, the (algorithm) improved the quality of generated building data by preserving boundary.A simplified matrix reverse (operation) was introduced in the edge contraction to increase the efficiency of real-time browsing. To improve the real-time capability of the zoom browsing, the contraction information of view transformation is recorded in a (reversible) chain structure. The experiment results have demostrated the efficiency of this new algorithm.
