Pseudo-random multimode operation

1988
In this concluding chapter of our review, we discuss the use of pseudorandom codes for labeling the various possible transmission modes of a phased array so that their echoes can be distinguished even when several modes are transmitted simultaneously. The advantages of this procedure were discussed in Chapter 5 and include lowered side lobes and improved field coverage when viewing moving targets.
