Programs review : The Committee discussed and considered the financial viability of Workshops and the Blue Ridge Naturalist program.

Education committee and the Membership committee. It was agreed that this should be done, with the Reuter Singers and the Smooth Dancers going to Membership and the rest of the programs to Community Education. Barry is to clear this idea with the chairs of the Membership, Community Education, and Community Outreach committees, prior to announcing it to the CSC at its next meeting. Strategic Plan : The Committee discussed the current status of the Center’s strategic plan, given the immediacy of the Chancellor’s Board of Trustees Commission. Barry is to invite Planning committee chair, Dick Murray, to the next Executive Committee meeting to discuss strategic issues and approaches to addressing them. Volunteer perquisites : Denise presented a chart that shows the types of perquisites currently given to various categories of Center volunteers, and pointed out that there is a need to move toward better balance. Denise is to coordinate an updating of the chart and review the results at the next Executive Committee meeting. Summer term length : Ron proposed that in 2010 the Winter term be extended to six weeks, from the current four weeks. The Committee agreed to the proposal.
