Crystal structure of [chloro[tris[(1-ethyl-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)methyl]amine]zinc(II)] tetraphenylborate acetone

The crystal structure of the title complex has been determined by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction method. The zinc complex has approximately a trigonal bipyramidal coordination geometry, which is different from the copper(II) complex with the same tripod ligand.
