Multipole magnetic fluid sealing device based on toothed groove structure

2012
The invention provides a multipole magnetic fluid sealing device based on a toothed groove structure. Each group of upper toothed grooves on each of a second magnetic pole, a third magnetic pole and a fourth magnetic pole corresponds to each group of lower toothed grooves on a first magnetic pole, the upper toothed grooves and the lower toothed grooves are staggered, a seal gap is formed between each group of the upper toothed grooves and the corresponding lower toothed grooves, magnetic fluid is arranged between the upper toothed grooves and the lower toothed grooves, an area enclosed by the first magnetic pole, magnetic steel, the second magnetic pole, the third magnetic pole, the fourth magnetic pole and the magnetic fluid is a sealed area. A magnetic field at the seal gap is high in variation under the influences of the toothed groove structure, so that distribution of the magnetic fluid in the sealed area is affected. Further, magnetism of the magnetic fluid also affects the magnetic fields at the toothed groove positions, so that distribution of magnetic fields near the toothed grooves is affected. According to finite element calculation, the influences are enhanced. The sealing capacity of the fluid sealing device can be improved by more than 20% by means of the toothed grooves of the magnetic poles and the multipole structure.
