New technologies in Russia’s electric power industry

In the 1920s, the GOELRO (State Commission for Electrification of Russia) plan was a powerful impulse for the development of the electric power industry and for the creation of advanced industry on its basis in our country. In the current century, power engineering, including electricity generation, should again become the foundation for the country’s economic transformation based on science-intensive technologies.
