Research on evaluation index system of tourist hotels' competitive intelligence ability

With the rapid development of China's tourism industry and investment on hospitality industry, hotels are facing more furious competition. Competitive intelligence (CI) finding and using is playing a more significant role in strategy-making, marketing and daily managing of tourist hotels. This paper analyzes tourist hotels' CI ability by combing it with characteristics of hospitality industry. It defines that CI ability of tourist hotels consists of five sub-abilities. On this base, this paper then uses experts' scoring, factor analysis and AHP software Yaahp 9.1 to construct the CI ability evaluation index system. This system will be helpful for hotels to build up their own CI system, improve their CI abilities, and then gain advantageous position in tough competition.
