Application of fetal heart rate monitoring combined with umbilical artery flow velocimetry in inspecting perinatal fetal hypoxia

2011
Objective To investigate the clinical value of fetal heart rate monitoring combined with umbilical artery flow velocimetry in predicting fetal hypoxia.MethodsAll 529 pregnant women were enrolled to be detected fetal heart rate monitoring and umbilical artery flow velocimetry.Umbilical venous blood gas analysis, amniotic fluid, weight and Apgar score of newborn were collected.ResultsThere were 82 cases of abnormal fetal heart rate and 72 cases of S/D ≥3.There were 31 fetuses with bad outcome in abnormal heart rate group. The blood gas analysis displayed different value of pH,PCO2 and PO2 between two groups. There were 36.1% of newborns with bad outcome in S/D≥3 group. And the value of pH,PO2 of cases in S/D≥3 group were less than that of S/D3 group. The positive value of above single examination was 37.8%and 36.1% respectively. While the positive value of combined examination was 72.4%.ConclusionFetal heart rate monitoring combined with umbilical artery flow velocimetry have great use in inspecting perinatal fetal hypoxia and decelerating neonatal asphyxia.
