Double Loops Mechanism with Multi-Mode Motion Applied in The Vehicle Door Latch

In order to realize the power release function of the vehicle door latch, a new type of double loops mechanism with multi-mode is proposed based on the kinematic of machinery. In this paper, a kind of vehicle door latch release device with the combination of planar 5R mechanism and spatial RSCR mechanism with singular configuration and multi-mode characteristics is constructed. The multi-mode characteristics of planar 5R mechanism and the singularity of RSCR mechanism are utilized respectively under different driving modes and limited boundary conditions. The mechanism realizes the independent working mode of power release and manual release. The passive joint of planar 5R mechanism is used in the power release process, and the singular configuration of spatial RSCR mechanism is used in manual release process. ADAMS dynamic simulation analysis, get the release force of the new double loops mechanism with multimode is obtained. In the process of release, the value to overcome the torsion spring torque is 323.618Nmm, and that the value of the spring is 68.686N.
