Observation of therapeutic effect of Jinfei decoction combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced stage none-small cell lung cancer

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Jinfei decoction combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced stage none-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods 60 patients with stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ NSCLC were divided randomly into 2 groups. In group A (as a treatment group), 30 patients were treated by chemotherapy combined with Jinfei decoction. In group B (as a control group), 30 patients were treated with chemotherapy alone. The effect and adverse reactions of the two groups, including the change of tumors, the main symptoms of NSCLC, quality of life, body weight, immunity and side-effect were evaluated after one course of treatment. Results The improvement of the body weight, change of the tumor, symptoms, the quality of life in group A were superior to those in group B (P0.05). Conclusion Jinfei decoction could stabilize the tumor, alleviate the symptoms of NSCLC patients, improve the quality of life, increase the body weight, and improve the immunity. Jinfei decoction combined with chemotherapy could enhance the efficacy and reduce the side-effect of chemotherapy.
