Part III Epilogue

2019
The changes that university-based business schools made after the 1959 foundation reports moved the business school closer to the traditional preferences of the university (i.e., research, discovery of knowledge) and away from the preferences of the business profession (i.e., training professionals, addressing critical short-term problems facing business). The primary emphasis has been a focus on dis-aggregation of knowledge while not as strong an emphasis is being placed on re-aggregation. This re-aggregation is essential to contributing to a professional knowledge system.
