Las mujeres guaraníes del coti-guazú de la Reducción Jesuita de Santa Ana

espanolEste escrito presenta un analisis del coti guazu de Santa Ana, uno de los espacios constructivos de una de las treinta reducciones que administraban los religiosos de la Compania de Jesus en la Hispanoamerica de los siglos XVII y XVIII. A partir de fuentes escritas, mapas, planos e informacion arqueologica, el trabajo explora como se establecio esta practica de encierro y control hacia mujeres guaranies en el ambito reduccional, y cual es su vinculacion con las costumbres poligamicas de este grupo. EnglishThis paper presents an analysis of the coti guazu of Santa Ana, a constructive space out of one of the thirty reductions administered by the religious people of the Jesus Company in Spanish America, in the 17th and 18th centuries. Taking written sources, maps, plans and archaeological information as a starting point, the work explores the establishment of this practice of enclosing and controlling Guarani women in the reductional environment and its connection with the polygamous habit of this group.
