A method for carrying out a reactive distillation in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst which is suspended as disperse phase in the liquid, wherein one part of the catalyst suspension containing discharges from the column continuously treated in a preparation stage and the finished catalyst is at least partially recycled to the column.
