Study of Maximized Wind Energy Capture Control by Doubly-fed Wind Power Generation System Based on Matrix Converter

2012
According to the characteristics of doubly-fed induction generators(DFIG) wind energy generation power control system, matrix converter is used as the AC-excitation controlling device.Combined with the stator flux oriented vector control strategy, experimental model of the variable-speed constant-frequency wind generation system is estab-lished.In order to improve the efficiency of wind generation system,a simple and reliable control algorithm of the maximal wind energy capture is proposed, which makes the system operation without wind speed or electrical power measurement. The operational performances of doubly-fed wind power generation system, which including three classical work modes of sub-synchronous,synchronous and super-synchronous are emulated by using Matlab/Simulink.The re-sults show that the decoupling control of active and reactive power of DFIG can be implemented, which finally reach-es the control of the maximal wind energy capture.
