It has been shown that the improvement in the hot coke strength and sinter quality has made it possible to increase the productivity of the blast furnaces by 15 to 30 percent due to the improvement in the blast furnace heat intensity relative to the oxygen and reducing agent concentration in the hearth gas. In turn, the blast furnace heat intensity growth relative to the reducing gas and the optimization of the charge materials distribution in the radius have made it possible to increase the efficiency of the heat and mass exchange in the blast furnace, to decrease its consumption for the direct iron and silicon reduction, and this has led to the decrease in the consumption of the coke and the total consumption of the fuel.
