The third generation of territorial passenger transport systems

Perspective directions of development of passenger transport complex of Russia. It is shown that the use of modern information technologies to manage regional transportation systems makes it possible to significantly improve almost all basic indicators of passenger transportation quality, to make them more effective and less costly, increase comfort and accuracy, reduce investment and operating costs. The methodology of the gradual transition to the third generation of the first and second generations, which are currently used in the territorial system of Russia passenger traffic.
