The Town Planner

Planning is a general term denoting a wide variety of human activities. We may speak of someone planning a career, a holiday, a family; of a company planning new products, expansion, redundancies; of a local authority planning new housing, roads, shops; or of Government planning for defence or the economy. Yet clearly there are vast differences between the size, scope and complexity of these various undertakings even though they are all commonly described as planning.
