Half-life of the superallowed positron emitter {sup 50}Mn

In an attempt to resolve the inconsistencies found among earlier measurements, we remeasured the half-life of {sup 50}Mn, paying particular attention to possible count rate and contaminant effects, and obtained 283.10(14) ms. Although most previous accounts seem to lack adequate detail, we are nevertheless constrained to retain their values in an overall recommended half-life of 283.21(11) ms.
