Neutron-activation determination of phosphorus and sulfur in molybdenum and tungsten with the help of a beta-spectrometer
1987
An instrumental variant of the neutron-activation determination of phosphorus and sulfur in molybdenum and tungsten was developed with the help of a ..beta..-spectrometer that makes it possible to discriminate the participation of the /sup 99/Mo and /sup 187/W radioisotopes in the overall activity of the sample. It was shown that simultaneous determination of P and S on the basis of the /sup 32/P radioisotope is feasible if their contents are comparable or are not different by more than 1-1.5 orders of magnitude, and then the maximum relative standard deviation is 0.15.
