Research on the Influence of Summer Temperature on Electricity Demand

2021
The cooling load is the main driving force for the continuous increase of the load during the summer peak period of the power grid. Carrying out the analysis of the impact of summer temperature on electricity consumption is of great significance for ensuring the safe operation of the power grid and scientifically studying the supply and demand situation. Establish an analysis model for the influence of summer temperature on electricity consumption, analyze the sensitivity of temperature and cooling load, and calculate the main factors affecting the increase in summer electricity consumption. The results show that when the maximum temperature and the average temperature increase by 1°C, the cooling load will increase by 2637 and 32.47 million kilowatts respectively; the high temperature in June and August of 2020 will drive the growth of electricity consumption, and the low temperature in July will drag down the growth of electricity consumption.
