Características y nuevos retos en la estimulación cognitiva domiciliaria

espanolEl trabajo en el ambito de las demencias en los ultimos anos y las tendencias socio-economicas actuales que nos rodean, nos invitan a plantear nuevas formas de intervencion en este colectivo. En este sentido, la estimulacion cognitiva fundamentada en el domicilio y el propio entorno constituye una alternativa atractiva, pues posibilita que el paciente reciba una atencion socio-sanitaria personalizada y mantener un estimulo afectivo-social en un ambiente conocido y seguro, el propio domicilio. En este trabajo se abordara cuales son las caracteristicas y los retos que nos tenemos que plantear al definir el papel de tres pilares fundamentales en la evolucion del paciente con demencia: la familia, el entorno y el tipo de intervencion. In this regard, based cognitive stimulation at home and the environment itself, is an attractive alternative, as it allows the patient to receive a personalized health and social care in addition to maintain the affective-social stimuli in a familiar and safe environment, the home itself. The characterization of this type of intervention means that we consider new challenges, resulting in defining the role of three key areas in the evolution of patients with dementia: the family, the environment and the type of intervention.
