The invention discloses a hanging type belt conveyor which comprises a support, an upper horizontal beam, an upper supporting roller set, a lower horizontal beam, a lower supporting roller set, a steel wire rope, a horizontal blocking part and a protecting bar. The support is welded with the upper horizontal beam. The upper supporting roller set is arranged on the upper horizontal beam. The lower supporting roller set is arranged on the lower horizontal beam which is welded with the support. The steel wire rope is connected with the support through a U-shaped clamp. The horizontal blocking part is connected with the support through a bolt. The protecting bar and the horizontal blocking part are connected through a bolt. The hanging type belt conveyor is reasonable in structure and can be adaptive to complex terrain such as a river-striding bridge, production cost is saved, a production technology is simplified, the labor intensity of working personnel is reduced, the operation cost of the belt conveyor is greatly lowered, and safe reliable operation of the belt conveyor is guaranteed.
