The False front of Systems——A Brief Analysis of the Change from Ancient Literary Theory to The Method of Literature Study and Its Acceptance

Yao-Yongpu's Ancient Literary Theory and The Method of Literature Study,which have similar contents,are quite different in their academic reputation although their appearances were only four years apart.Scholars all praise The Method of Literature Study for its system,structure,and organization,thus outshining Ancient Literary Theory.After perusing,analysing and comparing them,the author came to the conclusion that The Method of Literature Study does not have a successful structure while Ancient Literary Theory,despite its loose writing style,is better coherence.Scholars ignore the inner qulity but judge only by their system and structue,which in fact reflect the influence and restraint imposed by modern western academic systems and concept of acedemic writing on Chinese learning.
