The application discloses a dynamical system and a driving method for a hybrid electric vehicle. The influence of temperature change on prime mover efficiency is less. The dynamical system comprises a prime mover, an energy storage device, an electromechanical control device, a driving motor and an absorption refrigerator, wherein the prime mover is used for combusting energy resources to generate electricity, conveying electrical energy to the electromechanical control device; the electromechanical control device is used for receiving the electrical energy conveyed by the prime mover, conveying the electrical energy to the energy storage device, and conveying the electrical energy to the driving motor when the driving motor is required to drive an automobile, as well as receiving the electrical energy conveyed by the energy storage device, and conveying the electrical energy to the driving motor; the energy storage device is used for receiving and storing the electrical energy conveyed by the electromechanical control device, as well as transmitting the electrical energy to the electromechanical control device; the driving motor is used for receiving the electrical energy conveyed by the electromechanical control device and driving the automobile; the absorption refrigerator is used for absorbing heat energy discharged by the prime mover, and generating cold air by use of the absorbed heat energy so as to cool air at the air inlet of the prime mover.
