Can a Stealth Game Be Used to Learn Interaction Design Concepts

Serious Games (SG) are a powerful and versatile tool for teaching and learning. However, traditional SG offer weak mechanics and are unattractive for the user. The purpose of this article is to develop and analyze the effectiveness of using a game, which is both a SG and an entertainment game, for teaching didactic content in the Design area. The developed experience was tested with a preliminary sample of 10 users. After each test, the participant answered a questionnaire to assess usability, assimilation of knowledge and user experience. The results obtained show that the majority of users have learned the didactic concepts and considered the gameplay mechanics adequate. In the future, the sample will be increased in order to obtain more significant and conclusive results.
