The Industrial Application of Heat Pumps

Heat pumps have been used for many years in heating, ventilating and air conditioning applications where they are commonly regarded not so much as heat recovery devices but as a means for effectively providing both heating and cooling in a building by functioning as a heater in one section of a building and as a refrigerator in another. Application of heat pumps to industrial and process heat recovery has proceeded much more slowly.
