Qualité éthique et qualité méthodologique des essais contrôlés randomisés: analyse à partir des études publiées de 1989 à 1992 dans quatre revues internationales

The validity of randomized control trials (RCTs) depends both on their ethical and methodological qualities. This work was designed to study the ethical quality of published RCTs compared with the quality of their methodological aspects. A near zero correlation between the mean ethical completeness score (0.44) and the mean quality of research score (0.65 out of a possible 1.00) was found.
