Elicitation of Immune Response in Pups against Parvovirus Infection

In the present study, 24 unvaccinated healthy pups of either sex preferably in the age group of 8 were be enrolled and divided in to 4 group s, each contained 6 pups. The 1 st group was administered with group with Vanguard 5L, 3 rd group with Nobivac DHPPiL anti-canine parvovirus vaccines group was considered as control. Blood was collect ed from all the pups on 0 vaccinated (treatment groups) on the same day. On t he 28 th day blood was collected from all the pups followed by administration of the booster dose to a ll the treatment groups. Again on 35 collected from each group without vaccination. From the present study, it was observed that the effica Megavac 6 was significantly (P<0.01) higher as compared to Vanguard 5L and Nobivac DHPPiL. All the three vaccines were safe and did not show any adver se reaction during the entire period of study. The overall health status of the vaccinated animals was sound and better than control pups.
