A urinary catheter assembly with integrated catheter extension

A urinary catheter device comprises a urinary catheter 1 and a flexible tubular catheter packaging comprising a hose element 4, which snugly surrounds the catheter 1. A proximal end of the catheter is connected to a connector element 3 and the packaging comprises a tubular chamber 10 connected to the hose element 4 for reception of the connector element 3. The chamber 10 is at a first end closed with a removable cover element 11 and a distal end of the hose element 4 is closed with a removable closure 7. The connector element 3 can be connected to the distal end of the hose element 4 upon removal of the cover element 11 and the closure 7, such that the hose element 4, when the catheter 1 is removed therefrom, forms an extension element in flow connection with the catheter 1.
