Influence of sodium chloride on interactions in the Ca(HCO3)2-Mg(HCO3)2-NaCl-H2SO4-CO2-H2O system
2005
Physicochemical modeling is used to study the isothermal evaporation of complex carbonate-containing solutions. The equilibrium compositions of the liquid, solid, and gas phases of the Ca(HCO 3 ) 2 -Mg(HCO 3 ) 2 -NaCl-H 2 SO 4 -CO 2 (air)-H 2 O system are calculated for 25°C, a carbon dioxide partial pressure of 10 - 1 . 5 3 kPa, and concentration factors for the solutions from 1.0 to 2.5. The concentration regions of calcite, dolomite, and gypsum formation are estimated.
