Method of immobilizing biocatalysts

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immobilization method of biocatalyst, capable of executing, accurately and easily, quantitative immobilization of a biocatalyst on a biocatalyst electrode, and thereby capable of efficient production of the biocatalyst electrode on which the biocatalyst is immobilized quantitatively. SOLUTION: This immobilization method of a biocatalyst on a biocatalyst electrode having an insulating substrate, a conductor fixed on the insulating substrate, and the biocatalyst immobilized on the conductor includes a process for fixing a screen 3 having opening parts 3a, 3b, 3c or a mesh part on the insulating substrate so that the conductor is faced from the opening parts 3a, 3b, 3c or the mesh part, a process for supplying liquid including the biocatalyst and capable of being solidified by after-treatment onto the screen 3, a process for bringing a squeegee 6 into close contact with the screen 3 surface and for moving the squeegee 6 on the screen 3 so that the liquid is spread out on the whole of the opening parts 3a, 3b, 3c or the mesh part, and a process for immobilizing the liquid including the biocatalyst.
