bidirectional magnetic position sensor field rotation

2009
The invention relates to a following position of the magnetic sensor at least two directions comprising at least one magnetic element (1) and a probe (6) comprising at least two magneto-sensitive elements and located substantially at the same point and each measuring one component of magnetic field generated by said magnetic element (1), the magnetized element (1) being movable relative to said magneto-sensitive elements, and at least a processing circuit adapted to perform calculations of angles and modules from algebraic combinations of the components of the magnetic field and providing at least two independent signals representative of the movable element the position respectively the one and the other of the two directions. According to the invention, the magnetization vector of the magnetized element (1) is variable with respect to the normal vector to the surface of the magnetized element disposed opposite the probe (6) according to at least one dimension of said magnetic element so as to define a single position of said probe (6) vis-a-vis said magnetic element (1).
