Management of Complications During Vitrectomy for Macular Surgery

Macular surgery includes different pathologies such as macular pucker, macular hole, macular edema, and others affecting the macular area. The new vitreoretinal technologies permit now a faster and safer surgery with high percentage of anatomical and functional results. Nevertheless, like every surgery, macular surgery isn’t free of complication, and it is important to know them in order to avoid or manage possible retinal impairment.
