A mobile station device comprising: a preamble generator (320) for generating a preamble signal to be transmitted for a preamble interval (PA) prior to a transmission interval of a message reverse access channel, and a transmitter (140, 150, 152, 160, 162, 170, 172, 180, 190) to expand and modulating the preamble signal received from the preamble generator and transmitting it to a base station, characterized in that said preamble interval comprises at least one preamble transmission interval and an interval of no preamble transmission for intermittently transmitting said preamble signal.
