Control of properties of materials based on polyvinylchloride and a copolymer of methyl methacrylate, butadiene and styrene units using low molecular weight components☆

A study was made of methods of controlling properties of materials based on PVC and copolymers of methyl methacrylate, butadiene and styrene units. In their effect on impact strength of materials three types of additive were distinguished with different mechanisms of action, including the effect on copolymer properties, distribution in the matrix, on intermediate layers between two phases and on properties of the PVC matrix.
